The thing is, the PS3 already uses open APIs (e.g. OpenGL)… Microsoft and Nintendo just need to get on board. They could even keep their own APIs as well if they really must. (Not sure about Nintendo, but I just don’t see Microsoft getting rid of DirectX on the Xbox.)
Also, since when does wanting to save themselves time by not writing three different versions of all their games make EA not evil? :P |
