I know from experience that 99% of users will want to just read content, not create it- unless you have a really hands-on community, like for editing or art or similar, that won't be very good.

A redesign of the homepage.. since that's already started, it would make sense to pile all your resources into it, as long as it doesn't take as long as it did last time.

Search- Since most of the content seems to be through the forums, the forum search seems to have already solved that problem, with a little nifty scripting the search can be pretty much seamlessly integrated into the site.

Novelties are usually the last thing you worry about, when you're bored on a sunday afternoon with no one posting any news.

Again, the forum search could solve most of the problem, but I do think that this would be a valuable addition.

The main thing I think that needs work at the moment is the layout and content delivery- not how it's delivered but the way it is- Sure you have a nifty system for categorising the content, etc. but the way it's shown on the main page is rather confusing, and people coming to a site full of small text in small boxes right next to each other isn't gonna have the patience to sort thought it all and they're not going to want to bother reading it.

The other thing is, when you click on the Article link or the Downloads link, it just shows a list of content- it gives the impression that the developer just threw in a echo in a loop to read off the contents of the database. It needs to be organised in an engaging way, so it catches and holds the users' attention, so it pulls them in and forces them into reading it biggrin.gif

Well.. that's just my $2.80 >_>

only the inner part of the homepage would be redesigned btw.

and as for search, the CMS is independant of the forums and the only portion that is in the forums is an interface script that creates topics for discussion with partial content.

As for the user stats, we really need them. The stats that are provided by Cpanel are seperated by domain and dont provide any per-user tracking methods.

lol, philosophy majors were so funny in college. to have a degree in thinking you would think they would think how the fuck they would get a job thinking. but to think about it  i spent 6.5 years in college still no job in what i did; think about that!

I remember when pussy was just awesome by itself. It was the best thing ever. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, BAM! They started landscaping it.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Give a man religion and he'll sit there, praying for fish, until he and his family starve to death.
