Hi, I just wondered if anyone had any good sites to learn how to model,
or books even!

Thank you in advance!

Always glad to help!

just remember to not give up too easily, because 3d models isn't something which is done in 5 minutes. smile.gif

yeah after 3 months i nearly gave up then one day i sat down and had an epiphany everything seemed to come together at one moment. Of course 6 years of CAD drafting helped out smile.gif

i guess this is an ok model, but there are some faulties...
anyways...., i'm having real trouble making round edges, if you know what i mean... like the tip of a colt 1911 pistol.
i just don't know how to pull it off!

that's great work if you are so new to modelling! biggrin.gif

though 9k polys is a bit heavy for a gun model.. and you'r still without hands etc.. a normal gun in a game like CS has about 2k-3k polys.. Just remember that many details should be taken care of by the textures..
