I just finished it last night in 3.1 hours, it was so much fun. It was such an experience and I didn't feel like I was in maps at all, I was having fun the whole way through even up to "Still Alive" by "her".

Post your thoughts and impressions!
Ya, rly.

the challenges are crazy hard, beating a level in 19 seconds (1st one) or 10 seconds (2nd one)

I just downloaded a bunch of custom maps that should be crap tastic if my estimations about the user knowledge of source is right.

Judging by the number of 10 yr olds screaming "protect the intelligence" on TF2, of course.

oh what the hell, I haven't had that happen to me yet, they need stronger age restrictions... oh god did I just say that? huh.gif

also custom TF2 maps have no balance with the exception of one or two classes

So true, the custom maps suck.

What Valve does is run the maps 1000s of times with either simulated or real playtesters with all combinations of units. After that they read the stats and adjust accordingly.

Maps have so much to do with the abilities of each class that it is extremely difficult to build a balanced map for the game. Certain terrain permits certain gains and losses for each class.
