Okay, I'm going to replace the textures tonight, but I tried some alternate lighting techniques and I would like it if any of you shared some tricks.. or urls to them.

New pictures.. replaced the mainstay of my ugly textures.. upgraded some layout and upgraded the lighting entirely...

looks intresting, great start at mapping.

ALtho as i always say when starting to map, make a detailed room. Then forget about the map and start another area. Soon your skills will be allot improved smile.gif

the architectural style is to modern for the castle setting, and if it is a castle, it needs some windows. looks too much like a tomb in its current state.

Brushwork is nice but you need to change some textures, use some different not only the same wall tex on the whole map, make some diference. The idea of the map looks nice 2.

And for your first try at mapping this map is great, much better than my first ones biggrin.gif Keep on, and read carefully what chris said about the rooms.
