Right now halflife has around 800-1000 wpoly limits for the community, although these limits are to gain good performance even on lower end computers, I am wondering (assuming it works the same) what the wpoly (r_speeds) limit will be on halflife2 smile.gif anyone know if halflife2 will be using more models to create details or acutal world brushs?

Iv read that the number of polygon is adapted for the computer/map...
In fact i don't really know... i think it's gonna be lower than ut2k3, when 2 look at the movies it's not "that" complex.

from what i know, alot of hte fine details will be from models.
such as some of hte really detailed machinery and pipes and things, i read that they were made in Softimage|XSI then imported into the map.
but as far as i know the knew Hammer (or worldcraft as i am used to wink.gif ) is powered by Softimage|XSI, so you might be able to edit the models in "Hammer".
if you havent gathered I still use worldcraft.
