Despite selecting "Remember me" on the login page, after restarting the computer I'm reverted back to a guest again. I'm using Firefox and I've specifically allowed forums.gamecentralnet.net to use cookies but it still does it.

The problem doesn't happen every time now, just seemingly at random. Could it be something to do with the fact that I always set my computer to Hibernate instead of shutting it down? (it loads faster when I restart it)

No its because the cookies are set to expire in one day, im changing that now.

When you login next time it will remember the cookies for 14 days.

Ok that didnt work, IPB's use of cookies is all screwed up in part because they have about 4 systems for verifying the user! It's crazy, im having to write large portions of code over for it.

You should extend that longer though, previously the cookies stayed for ever.
"I have a theory that the truth is never told during the nine-to-five hours." Hunter S. Thompson
"During that Persian Gulf War, I was sitting in my living room, naked, with a can of Budweiser and a three inch stake watching the war, live, on TV. I had a six foot erection with a giant cheese burger on the end of it. I ate so much meat during the war that by the time the war was over three weeks later, I was like, "No no no. We need to keep fighting. Make a couple of stops on our way home from the Persian Gulf. First stop! Vietnam! Surprise the fuck out of those people, huh?"" Denis Leary

It has to do with the cookies staying, they seemingly quit working at random.

I think it had to do with the CMS interfering with the cookies.

it had to do with visiting the root of this domain, the cms wasnt ready for IPB 2.0, so it would delete the cookies it knew of and leave you with your session_id as means of staying logged in.
Ya, rly.
