Post your comments.

RSS Feeds would allow any of the browsing category pages to be RSSed.

Web-based chat would enable us to communicate on a faster and more interactive level than the forums.

HTML Extraction to dynamically check modification websites for news and dynamically extract it under "Fair Use." With this functionality you would be provided the faster response between a modification putting up news and us knowning about it to let you guys know.
Ya, rly.

As a news poster, I'd vote for dynamic extraction, with RSS feeds in second place. Chat was never very popular on the old site, so I'm not sure if it will be on this one either.

Well I got bored and ended up doing RSS first. Right now it only applies for category listings (like news) and is on a per-site basis like the website.

It works by adding rss=true to any category browsing page like
http://www.gamecentr...?tid=3&rss=true for GCN News

Expect a network-wide category feed soon...
Ya, rly.

The RSS feeds don't work for me. I tested them out in Pheeder (which works with all other feeds that I've tried) and it says "This document is in an unknown format. You may be able to use this document with a plug-in".

You need an RSS reader such as http://www.rssreader.com

It just displays news headlines in text format. It's what's sometimes used for news tickers on sites.

My chat program acts a lot like IRC. Channels, user lists. I wonder if I still have that code, although I wrote that over a year ago, who knows what things I did back then.

There was no true administration though, it was all special keyword based. Like if I type zoologgingfaceplate it would delete the channels log, etc.
Ya, rly.
